Krishna Janmashtami| Date| time|shubh muhurat| significance| facts and history

The beauty of our ancient stories is that they have never been made at a particular place or a particular time.  Ramayana or Mahabharata are not mere incidents in ancient times.  These occur daily in our lives.  The essence of these stories is eternal.

The story of Shri Krishna's birth also has a deeper meaning.  In this story, Devaki is the symbol of the body and Vasudev is the life force, that is, of life.  When the body attains life, then Anand means Shri Krishna is born.  But the ego (Kamsa) attempts to eliminate bliss.  Here Devaki's brother Kans shows that ego exists along with the body.  A happy and joyful person never causes problems for anyone, but unhappy and emotionally injured people often injure others, or obstruct their path.  The person who feels that injustice has been done to him, he also treats others unjustly due to his ego.

The greatest enemy of the ego is Anand.  Where there is joy and love, ego cannot stand, it has to bend.  A person sitting at a very high place in society also has to bow down to his little child.  When the child is ill, no matter how strong a person is, he starts feeling a little helpless.  When confronted with love, simplicity and bliss, the ego automatically disappears easily.  Shri Krishna is the symbol of bliss, the essence of simplicity and the source of love.

The execution of Devaki and Vasudev by imprisonment by Kansa indicates that when the ego increases, the body becomes like a prison.  When Shri Krishna was born, the prison guards slept.  Here the guard is the senses who are protecting the ego because when he wakes up he becomes extroverted.  When these senses are introverted then there is a rise of inner bliss within us.

Another name of Shri Krishna - "Makhan Chor" - Meaning

Shri Krishna is also known as Makhanchor.  Milk is the essence of nutrition and curd is a refined form of milk.  When the curd is churned, butter is formed and floats on top.  It is not only heavy but also light and nutritious.  When our intellect is churned, then it becomes like butter.  Then knowledge arises in the mind, and one becomes established in one's self.  He remains indulged even while in the world, his mind is not disappointed with the things / behavior of the world.  Makhanchori symbolizes the glorification of Shri Krishna love.  The charm and skill of Shri Krishna is so much that he steals the mind of even the most restrained person.

Importance of peacock feathers on the head of Shri Krishna.  Significance of peacock feather on Lord Krishna's head

A king is responsible for his entire subjects.  He bears the burden of these responsibilities on his head as the crown.  But Shri Krishna fulfills all his responsibilities very easily - like a game.  Just like a mother never takes care of her children.  Even Shri Krishna does not feel burdened by his responsibilities and he is carrying these responsibilities of various colors very easily on his crown as a peacock (which is also very light).
Shri Krishna is an attractive and joyful stream within all of us.  When there is no restlessness, worry or desire in the mind, only then we can get deep rest and only in deep rest is Shri Krishna born.
This is the time to bring a wave of happiness in the society - this is the message of Janmashtami.  Be blissful with seriousness.
